How To Get Rid Of Pimples And Acne Fast – Home Remedies

If you didn’t read my previous article on pimples and acne, I’ll advise you start with that so that you can fully understand all about pimples. You can SEE IT HERE.

In this short article, we’ll consider the treatments for pimples, how to remove blackheads and whiteheads, acne treatments, etc. most of which are home remedies.

Just from the previous article, acne is an inflammatory disease of the hair follicles and their associated sebaceous gland. It is related majorly to the hormonal changes that happen during adolescence.Hair follicle and sebaceous gland | Mololo cosmetics

The medical term of acne that is not inflamed (the bacteria-causing acne has not manipulated it) is “comedo,” which also known as “comedone.” And it is majorly divided into the Blackhead and the Whitehead:

  • Blackhead (the open pores makes air to oxidize them, thereby resulting in their dark appearance)
  • Whitehead (closed pores that, from the name, are white in color).

whiteheads | Mololo cosmeticsThe whiteheads and blackheads are not inflamed (by the acne aggravating bacteria – P.acnes).

We also have the inflamed acne which is briefly explained below:

  • Pustules – They are lesions with pus
  • Papules – small, raised lesions that are up to 0.5cm in diameter. They have no pus
  • Nodules – They are inflammatory swellings that are similar to papules, but located deeper under the skin
  • Cysts – They are bigger, wider swellings on the skin’s surface, containing liquid or semisolid material.

The areas of the body that are likely to receive acne breakouts are the face, the neck, and the back area. This is because these regions have more of sebaceous gland than other parts of the body (the sebaceous gland is not evenly located in the body).

Difference Between Pimples and Acne

A lot of people use the term acne when they mean pimples, and pimples when they mean acne.

Acne, as I said earlier, is a disease of the hair follicle and the sebaceous gland. Acne is the broader term (like the family) in which pimples is a leader (the father).

Acne is the skin disease involving sebum (the skin’s natural oil from the sebaceous gland), keratinization (shedding of the dead skin cells), and the bacteria (P.aces). It can range from the whiteheads, blackheads to the cysts (the bigger inflamed acne).back pimples | Mololo cosmetics

Pimples, on the other hand, is a clogged pore filled with sebum and the dead skin cell, and the P.acnes bacteria inflamed the blocked pores, leading to nodules, cysts, papules, or pustules. In whiteheads, blackheads, papules, pustules, nodules, and cysts can be referred to as acne, whereas the inflamed acne can be called Pimples.

Home Remedies for Pimples and Acne

I believe, by now, you now know the difference between Acne and Pimples. In here, we’ll be considering some possible home treatments for pimples and acne. I’ll refer to whiteheads and blackheads as “Comedone.”

How to Remove Blackheads and Whiteheads – Topical Applications

  1. Irish Potato – Potato is full of sulfur, potassium, and chloride that can help you reduce those troublesome blemishes. Irish potato is also rich in antioxidant that is responsible for encouraging the growth of new skin cells and nourishing the skin.

Another fantastic use of potato is for removing some facial scars

Procedure for the cure of acne and pimples

  • Buy your potato and slice it into pieces (You might just slice a little bit you’re going to use per application).
  • Take the slice and rub it on the acne affected area in a circular motion (clockwise or anticlockwise)
  • Leave it on your face to dry (between 15 to 30 minutes)
  • Afterward, rinse it off with tepid water (warm water).
  • Repeat this process in the morning and night for as long as you still have your breakouts
  1. Avocado and Honey Combo – Honey is an excellent anti-inflammatory and, when combined with avocado, can keep your comedone at bay. This combination offers a very good treatment for blackheads and blackheads.

Procedure for the cure of acne and pimples

  • Remove the soft, cream-like inside of the avocado and mash it in a bowl
  • Add 1-2 tablespoon (Tbsp) of original honey to your mashed avocado and continue stirring till they both mix
  • Rinse your face with ordinary water and pat your face dry
  • Apply the mixture to your face and allow it to stay for at least 15 minutes
  • Rinse off with tepid water, pat your face, and apply your moisturizer
  1. How About The Power of Garlic? – Whether you ingest garlic or apply it topically on the acne area, the antibacterial property of garlic is ideal for solving your acne problem. You can either get the garlic juice, dry and convert it to powder or simply mash this wonderful remedy and use.

Procedure for the cure of pimples and acne

  • Mash your garlic or simply add 1 teaspoon of ginger in 2-3 Tablespoons of water.
  • Allow the garlic to sit in the water for a minimum of 10 minutes
  • Then deep your cotton wool into the garlic liquid and apply it on the affected area
  • Leave it for about 15 minutes and rinse it off with tepid water
  • Do this at least once a day (so I advise you just convert your garlic to powder)
  • You may also ingest the garlic (one to two cloves a day) for maximum result

4.  Lemon Juice And Salicylic Acid – Lemon juice is rich in Vitamin C which enhances the look of all skin types. It also contains citric acid which helps to remove dead skin cell, making the skin radiant. Lemon juice is also an astringent that can dry out any blemish.

Salicylic acid, on the other hand, is lipid soluble (fat soluble). Salicylic Acid is a Beta Hydroxyl Acid, capable of penetrating deep down the pores and eliminating the trapped sebum in the hair follicle. Its antibacterial property also puts the P.acnes into grave danger. If you can’t get salicylic acid, just move to your nearest pharmacy store and buy aspirin (aspirin also contains salicylic acid).

Procedure for the cure of acne and pimples

  • Get a bowl and add 4 tablets of aspirin or half Teaspoon (teaspoon) of salicylic acid
  • Add your lemon gradually till it forms paste
  • You can also add little honey if it’s running
  • Using your makeup brush or any other brush, apply the paste on the acne-infested area
  • Leave it for between 15 to 30 minutes
  • Then rinse off with tepid water
  • Repeat the process for at least once in a day

Note: Don’t apply this mixture and then frolic in the sun. Citric acid, as contained in the lemon, can aggravate the sun’s damage to your body.

  1. Aloe Vera and Tea Tree – Tree tree oil is a solvent that is found to cut through the dead skin and sebum, thereby unblocking the clog pores. Tea tree oil is also antibacterial, killing off the P.acnes bacteria.

On the other hand, Aloe Vera is an excellent anti-inflammatory, soothing swellings and pains.

Procedure for the cure of acne and pimples

  • You can either use the aloe vera gel or juice. If you’re using the gel, take 1 Tbsp of aloe vera into a bowl.
  • Add 3-5 drops of your tea tree oil into the aloe vera gel/solution and mix it together
  • Apply, using your brush, to the affected acne or pimples area
  • Leave it for as long as you want…even overnight
  • Then rinse it off with tepid Pat your face dry. And that’s it.
  1. Apple Cider Vinegar and Oats Powder – Apple cider vinegar can offer a natural cure for acne and a potent blackhead It is a powerful antibacterial, killing off the p.acnes without remorse. Apple cider vinegar also helps to balance the skin’s PH, creating an inhabitable environment for the bacteria.

Oat powder can reduce the inflammation on the acne areas. Oat powder cannot cure acne. The essence of adding your oat powder to your apple cider vinegar is to relieve you of the pain and inflammation that usually accompany acne.

Procedure for the cure of pimples and acne

  • Get a bowl and add 1 tbsp of your oat powder (You can buy your oats and then grind it into powder)
  • Add your apple cider vinegar into the powder, making a paste out of the oats
  • Using your brush, apply the mixture to the affected area
  • Let it settle in the affected area. Leave it for at least 15 minutes
  • Then rinse it off with tepid water. Pat your face dry and apply your moisturizer
  • Repeat the process for at least twice a day
  1. Orange peel, cinnamon powder, and honey – Orange peel can help to combat the bacteria- causing acne to some extent. Thanks to the high concentration of citric acid, vitamin c, and its astringent properties.

Cinnamon powder has high antimicrobial properties that can help to stop the p.acnes from getting out of control.

Honey on its own is an effective antibiotic that can attack the p.acnes to an extent.

Procedure for the cure of pimples and acne

  • First of all, convert your orange peel into powder (or buy the already made orange peel)
  • Take 1 tsp of your orange peel and put it in a bowl
