Shea butter contains high level of antioxidants and essential fatty acids, which makes it a potent skin-repairing ingredient. This body butter mix will help your skin improve its elasticity while improving the moisture content.
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp Jojoba Oil
- 2 Tbsp Organic Coconut Oil
- 1 Tbsp Shea butter
- 2 Tsp Beeswax
- 5 drops Lavender Essential Oil
- 5 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil
Procedure
- Melt the oils, butter, and beeswax using the double boiling method. Remove from heat after they are fully melted
- Begin to stir using your stick blender until the whole ingredients mix very well
- Wait a little till the mixture is about to become solid. Or if you’re a little impatient like me, you may put it in your fridge to solidify a little…like 5 minutes should be enough
- Bring the mixture from your fridge and start mixing, using your stick blender
- Mix till the product becomes fluffy
- Add your essential oils and stir for 1 to 2 minutes
- Transfer the body butter into a clean jar
- Then store in a cool, dry place. Keep for up to 50 days (or 2 months)
Usage of Body Butter
- You can use this body butter on your skin as body butter, lips as a lip balm, and on the hair as your hair balm. You can also apply it on your dry elbows and cracked heels
